IT’S LIT Weddings & Events is honored to receive numerous awards from various wedding industry sites for the 2025 calendar year, as a result of our 2024 success and client results from their 2024 Weddings. Most, if not all of these awards are tailored to wedding industry professionals, but not all are related to wedding DJ services per se, our wide range of services for weddings, and the awards received for them, represent our dedication to quality of our services, just ask all the customers who have trusted us with their weddings or read their feedback at our reviews page.
What Awards did IT’S LIT Weddings and Events Receive in 2025?
We are honored to have received 4 distinct awards this year; WEDDINGWIRE’s “Couples Choice Award”, The Knot’s “Best of Weddings” along with an induction to The Knot’s Best of Weddings “Hall of Fame” (first time), and finally, our first “Best of Zola” award from Zola’s wedding directory! Each of these awards has its own criteria for the award category, which I will go into more depth about, throughout this post.
2025 WEDDINGWIRE Couples Choice Award
In 2025 the criteria for the WEDDINGWIRE Couples Choice award was raised to a minimum of 7 reviews in the 2024 calendar year, with a minimum average rating of 4.5 stars or above. 2025 The Knot “Best of Weddings” Award
If you didn’t already know, the companies behind, The Knot and WEDDINGWIRE merged in 2019, while each other’s awards were very similar before, they are near identical in terms of criteria now. In 2025 the criteria for The Knots “Best Of Weddings” award was the same as WEDDINGWIRE’s; a minimum of 7 reviews in the 2024 calendar year, with a minimum average rating of 4.5 stars or above. Previously, the same as WEDDINGWIRE, the site required only 5 new reviews with the same criteria otherwise. You can read IT’S LIT Weddings & Events reviews on The Knot here. 2025 The Knot “Best of Weddings Hall of Fame” Award
I always knew that the Best of Weddings Hall of Fame existed, I just never understood how companies got “into” it. By my best guess prior to writing this post, I assumed you had to receive a number of consecutive “Best Of” awards. According to this article from The Knot, I wasn’t far off. Quoted straight from their website: “The Knot Hall of Fame recognizes event professionals who win Best of Weddings a minimum of four times (not necessarily consecutively).” Which we have easily received (history and explanation to come below).
2025 Zola’s “Best of Zola”
This is our first totally new platform that we received a first time award on; ZOLA! (We don’t count the Hall of Fame as “new” for this). ZOLA has been making waves in the wedding industry since its inception, and they have had awards for a while too. Unfortunately with ZOLA being new, and the number of reviews needed to stay up to date on Google, WEDDINGWIRE, and The Knot, it wasn’t our top priority until 2024. Zola works different on their standards so here’s an except from their website.
“Best of Zola” awardees are the best of the best, selected from a pool of our couples’ favorite vendors. In order to be eligible, vendors must be published as a listed storefront on Zola on or before November 30th of the award year, have at least 3 reviews from the award year, maintain at least a 4.7 review average, and have a 90% response rate to couple inquiries*. Vendors must meet this criteria by 12/31/2024 to be qualified for Best of Zola 2025.
*We have increased the requirement for Best of Zola 2025 from 2 to 3 reviews, to reflect the high standards that Zola couples have for their vendors. Award eligibility and criteria is subject to change on an annual basis.
