Rhode Island Wedding Venues on the Water
Belle Mer – Newport, RI
Belle Mer is a beautiful waterfront venue located on Goat Island in Newport, Rhode Island. The venue has two event spaces in separate buildings which allow for it to host two, almost completely private and separate weddings at the same time. They also have ample free parking, making it a great spot for guests to drive to. Ceremony spaces overlook the water and Newport Pell Bridge. Many couples we work with will have marquee letters located outside during their wedding to spell out their last name, like Samantha and Zack did:
Ocean House – Westerly, RI
If you are a “Swiftie” you’ll love ocean house, as it is located next door to Taylor Swifts Rhode Island residence nicknamed “The Holiday House”. Ocean house boasts lots of Rhode Island history and other famous people have had their weddings there, such as Olivia Culpo.
Castle Hill – Newport, RI
Castle Hill Inn is one of the most beautiful and highest luxury venues in Rhode Island. Located nearby the Castle Hill lighthouse and Oceancliff Hotel, the inn has a beautiful semi permanent tent overlooking the water and lighthouse, with a unique ceremony space overlooking the Newport bridge. The space can be further dressed up with florals, drapery, lighting, uplighting, custom tables, and more. However, this venue is not for people who want to have special effects such as cold sparks, CO2 jets, dancing on a cloud or others as they strictly do not allow those effects there.
Bohlin – Newport, RI
Located right in the heart of Newport Harbor, You’ll be surrounded by boats, with a ceremony overlooking Goat Island and the harbor.
Waterman Grille – Providence, RI
Waterman Grille is managed by the Newport Restaurant group and is located literally on the Seekonk River in Providence (on the east side). We are actually a preferred vendor at this venue! Waterman Grille has beautiful water views of the river, and a riverfront ceremony, with views of the Crook Point Bascule bridge to the south. This is likely the smallest venue on this list, with a maximum capacity of around 75 guests to fit comfortably. Depending on the layout, the dance floor can become tight with more guests so keep this in mind if you are a big dancing person!
The Boathouse – Tiverton, RI
The Boathouse in Tiverton, has a great view of the Sakkonet River leading down to Portsmouth and Middletown, it is a smaller venue with restrictions on music due to the lack of an entertainment license. This venue is usually best suited for smaller weddings that are not looking to have dancing.
Squantum Association – East Providence, RI
A very historic venue located in East Providence RI built right on the Narraganset Bay with almost 360 degree water views of boats, the port of providence, lighthouses and more.
Glen Manor House – Portsmouth, RI
Another historic mansion venue in rhode island? Who would have thought! Glen Manor house is exclusively booked and managed by Russell Morin Catering, one of the finest caterers in the area. If you are looking for a Newport mansion style wedding without the hustle and bustle of downtown Newport, Glen Manor is the way to go.
Regatta Place – Newport, RI
Another marina wedding venue, if you want to arrive to your wedding by boat, this is probably the best place to do it. Because this venue is located under a semi permanent tent structure, they allow us to use many special effects, making it a great venue for someone who wants a big customized party with CO2 Fog and more. The team here is phenomenal to work with and is managed by Newport Experience, who also manages Oceancliff, The Safari Room, and Stone House.
Harbor Lights – Warwick, RI
Harbor lights slogan is literally “Water views without the Newport prices”, Harbor Lights is a golf course and marina located on Warwick Neck, with great views of Narragansett bay, and something for everyone between golf, marina, a tikki bar, and so much more. They can have weddings in their tent or in their ballroom!
