What is MARQUEE LETTER RENTAL
Add a touch of glamor to your wedding, an eye-catching way to showcase your brand for a company event, or elevate your sweet 16 with marquee letters, numbers, and symbols. Throughout this post, we will refer to a number of different marquee signs as an umbrella term of “marquee letters” including marquee letters, marquee numbers, and other marquee symbols. Marquee is sometimes written as “Marquis Letters”, because the words sound the same, but according to Gramerly: Marquis has a completely different meaning. Marquee, Marquis, and sometimes the old english Marque, are used interchangeably with a single meaning, along with “Letter” and “Rental” (Need I describe what that means?).

Marquee letters and numbers are a stylish and versatile lighting solution creating a big impression to your event, while they don’t have to be lit up, they often are. Put simply, and what we offer, are marquee light up letter rentals of various sizes, which we will detail further soon!

Wedding Marquee Letter Rental
Complete your wedding decor with a wide variety of marquee letter rental options for weddings. The most common marquee letter rental offerings for weddings are the couples initials with an “and” (&) sign (ampersand), which can also be switched for a heart, or ring (see more below); the couples last name, with or without the addition of “topper” letter such as MR & MRS or THE (We also offer options to be inclusive to all weddings like MR & MR, MRS & MRS, or any other combination you’d like, where available.); and finally LOVE letters. What you choose will depend on your preferences, but you can also work with your marquee letter rental company to determine this, make sure you choose a company with lots of options if that is important to you! Corporate Event Marquee Letter rental
Marquee letters are the perfect event for any form of coprote, nonprofit, tradeshow, or other business celebration. These big, light up letters provide a fun and memorable backdrop for your clients and employees to snap pictures and share with their network. Birthday Marquee Letter rental
Most birthdays will want to just rent marquee numbers, such as 16, 21, 30, 40, 50, 60, however, you can also creatively combine a name (letters), with marquee numbers such as MARK IS 30! Or HAPPY 70TH MARK.

What Sizes Do Marquee Letters and Numbers Come In?
4ft Marquee Numbers
We recently added 4ft marquee letters, and 4ft marquee numbers to our inventory, making us at this time the only company in RI to offer multiple sizes in both letters and numbers. 4ft Marquee lights usually come in a block style, as they can become very large if they were a more curved style, certain letters are not recommended in this style, such as W, we always recommend 3ft based on the style. 3ft Marquee Letters
Our “OG” marquee letter offering is 3ft marquee letters, and 3ft marquee numbers. We offer the largest selection of punctuation, symbols, and highest letter/number inventory in our 3ft size. Our 3ft style is “rounded or curved”, but you may also see block style 3ft letters from other companies. Curved style is far more challenging to build and can vary widely between companies. 1ft Marquee Toppers
We refer to 1ft letters as “toppers”. 1ft letters are generally offered in a limited selection and used as toppers for weddings such as 1ft MR &MRS on top of the couples last name, or THE (couples) name. We also offer an O, in case anyone wants to do 1ft OH, 3ft BABY. Additionally, our 1ft topper letters are designed to match the style of our 3ft, and while we have combined them with 4ft, we suggest only doing that with THE to keep the style the same.
Other sizes & intermediate – You may find a variety of styles, sizes, and formats of big light up letters across the internet, but we also have some “unique” offerings with a story, such as our 3.5ft block style LOVE letters, which were created for the founders wedding, and began the concept of IT’S LIT!
What is offered besides marquee numbers?
Marquee rental companies have a variety of offerings depending on the size and level of specificity of the business. We are a full-service marquee letter rental company, meaning we offer all the options! For us, this includes multiple bulb options, styles, sizes, letters, numbers, and symbols, we have marquee hearts, engagement rings, exclamation points, apostrophe’s, hashtags/pound sign, question marks, and even a birthday cake! On top of a variety of sizes and styles, we also offer “outdoor boxes”, (featured in the above PVD 25 Image) stacking up to 6ft high, and more!
Do Marquee Letters Come in Different Styles?
Marquee signs can come in a variety of sizes, shapes, and styles, most commonly, curved, or block style, however some companies may offer different finishes, such as black or white, some may offer plain stained wood finishes, and even LED fronts instead of bulbs. The possibilities are endless.
Letter Bases / Outdoor Boxes
We are the only company in RI with “Letter Bases”! (Are you seeing a trend?). Also referred to as outdoor boxes, also referred to as ground boxes or stack boxes, create an elegant footer for our marquee letters to sit on, and also have other flexible uses. Where do Marquee Signs Come From?
All our marquee letters, (with some minor exceptions on some 4ft letters made in MA), have been made right here in Rhode Island. There are places to buy marquee letters online, but most are made in a very similar style, so most marquee companies need to build their own.
