We charge a per letter price PLUS a delivery charge (which includes setup and pickup as well). Additionally most rentals are subject to RI sales tax in addition to the letter total rental and delivery cost. Discounts may be available, including out of season pricing, we will always quote you the best price at the time of a quote, however you are welcome to ask us if there are any other discounts also. You are guaranteed to receive a discount if you package letters with any of our other services. Please refer to our pricing below for estimation purposes only. Pricing may vary based on location and offers. We may price match reasonable competitors quotes, please contact us for full details or for a price match.

Rent our beautiful 3.5FT varsity style LOVE letters, these have a more “block style”. Though we may refer to these sometimes as 4ft the actual size is 3.5ft. Big letter rental.

Firstly, ITS LIT is a local small business, not part of a franchise. Our letter rentals include the option of any of our bulbs (see all options at our bulb guide below). Plus we offer remote control color changing bulbs! All of our setups look neat and clean because our letters don’t require a racking system to be stacked like our competitors do. When we do require a rear support they are very low profile compared to our competitors.

Incandescent bulbs are included standard on all rentals, our LED bulbs with color are available upon request.
Incandescent Bulbs (Standard option)

LED Cool WHITE + Color BULBS (+$5 per Letter)
- perfect for outdoor events and adding color to the sign
- more “modern” look
- 5700K “Cool” White color or 11 colors: Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, Deep Orange, Amber, Purple, Teal, Turquoise, Magenta/Pink, Red Orange
- color changing and color fade modes available
- White on these bulbs is VERY bright, best for daytime and outdoor events, can be set to 50% brightness, we still discourage white for dimmer indoor events.
- Colors on LEDs are fine for any event bright outdoor, or dim indoor

Pricing
Pricing can be complex with marquee letter rentals, so we have simplified it as much as possible, please keep in mind that the prices below are ranges, and in some scenarios your rental cost may be higher or lower, based on tax, complications, or other nuances. Pricing is subject to change, and tax and tolls may also change over time.
Prices below apply to marquee letter, symbol, and number rental. We do not charge for small punctuation like periods and apostrophe’s.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Our total cost of a rental can range from as little as $150 + tax to over $1000 depending primarily on how many letters are rented. Our delivery charge starts at $100 and increases based on distance and other factors like tolls., delivery to Newport, RI is $200. We calculate the total rental cost by multiplying the [(per letter rental $ x # of letters) + $ delivery] x % tax
It’s best to book as early as possible to reserve the letters you would like, to have a full range of options we recommend 3-6 months minimum. While we can accommodate last minute bookings, we frequently have to decline them during peak seasons because we do not have available inventory and/or delivery staff.
Letters can be set up outside as long as the weather permits. We suggest having a backup location in the event of inclement weather. Letters must be placed on stable, flat ground. Letters can be placed on uneven grounds such as grass, sand, pebbles, however you must notify us at least 1 week prior to your rental if it is outdoors so we are able to bring the proper equipment to handle such terrain.
Yes, in addition to a contract, a non refundable retainer fee of $50-$100 (plus tax) of your total rental is required to secure your date & event. This amount will be applied to your overall rental fee.
Not necessarily, we quote on a per event basis, and consider an event around 8 hours, we usually allow letters to be held up to 24 hours with the rental charge, however, we will work primarily off of your event timeframes to ensure that inventory does not conflict with another rental.
While we often do an average of 3 rentals on a Saturday, we have the capability to handle up to 8 rentals on most weekend days, pending that there is inventory available. Due to our popularity we do “sell out” on some days during peak season due to staff and letter availability. Delivery location is also a factor.
